Happy Easter

The first few years that there was a sunrise service at Holden Beach, there were only a handful of folks that would meet in the parking lot of the fishing pier.  There were so few that there was no need for a sound system and there was enough coffee and doughnuts for everyone.

Now, there are no coffee or doughnuts.  There are just too many people making their way in the dark to the beach to  stand in whatever weather there is...this year there were high winds....but never rain.

The sun always rises.

Instead of standing in the parking lot, the preacher and choir have a spot built into the pier so everyone can see them and hear them....even when the wind interferes with the sound system.

I am amazed at the shear number of people that show up.

It is a testament in itself.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

There is no church as beautiful as nature... and sunrise at the beach on Easter morning has to be just about perfect, imho.
